Meditations - Marcus Aurelius -- A fine classic I enjoyed.

Loved Masters of Doom - David Kushner

I loved Harry Potter and the Methods of Rationality

this alternate universe imagining of the Harry Potter story: http://hpmor.com/

Probably the celebrated Harry Potter and the Methods of Rationality, for reasons others have stated over and again

My two favorites are Permutation City by Greg Egan

Player of Games was good, but not great.

I've only read one (The Player of Games) and while it was enjoyable it was still sort of meh

I hear good things about Iain M. Banks' Culture novels.

I've got Excession in my queue and I suspect I'll enjoy it more.

QED, by Feynman. It made a large portion of quantum physics "click" for me intuitively

I liked Worm - Wildbow - https://parahumans.wordpress.com/table-of-contents/ -- but it falls short of overall greatness and I don't think it's worth its 22-average-books length if I were to go back in time and decide on rereading...

a great horrifying psychology book

The Golden Age by John C. Wright (actually that one's a trilogy)

Learn to Play Go: A Master's Guide to the Ultimate Game (Volume I) - Janice Kim -- I've been learning Go and thought this book was particularly excellent for beginners.
