Warren Buffett and Charlie Munger. Frankly, I doubt you will find anything better in finance that what came from those 2 guys. It's pure, old school, wisdom. Backed by >50 years of outstanding financial results. If you can afford it, buy them 'Poor Charlie's Almanack' by Charlie Munger - and let them go down the rabbit hole.

I have found Poor Charlies Almanack by Charlie Muenger to have quite a few. Thinking Fast and Slow is another great book that explains some of the mental models well. The Art of Thinking Clearly is yet another that is actually more like a dictionary of mental models.

Oh I can only agree ! Each year I'm eagerly waiting for it. To complement, I would add two books from Buffett and Munger: - "The Snowball: Warren Buffett and the Business of Life" by Alice Schroeder - "Poor Charlie's Almanack" by Charlie Munger - a fantastic read

"Poor Charlie's Almanack" was one of two books which had a profound impact on my way of thinking ( "Charlie Munger - The Psychology of Human Misjudgment", listed in the parent post is probably the best piece in this book.) The other book, which I read when I was 15 or 16, "The Age of Spiritual Machines: When Computers Exceed Human Intelligence" by Ray Kurzweil was the other. Instead of looking at the universe through the question of why won't this work, I began thinking about problems as under what circumstances would this occur. Today, the book may be dated, but its effect for me remains.
