it's just too good

I enjoyed it so much I went through the rest of it on my own during Christmas break. Was probably the greatest experience I have had programming

the closest I can think of (in the way of endings) is Snow Crash.

Ender Series

I have probably read this about 10 times. All the other books in the series are good too, but it really stands apart from the rest.

1984 - George Orwell

A.I. A Modern Approach (ch 13-16) by Russell and Norvig

The Revelation Space series (3 of the 5 books) by Alistair Reynolds

I'll second the vote for Engineering a Compiler.

Eon/Eternity (both by Greg Bear)

Rama Series

Firestar Series

Programming in Haskell by Graham Hutton

A Tunnel In The Sky by Robert Heinlein
