Think and Grow Rich written by Napoleon Hill is the book that had the biggest impact on me. By the name you would think that only talks about money and finance, but the real message is about the power of desire. I loved it and really changed my mind and the way of doing things. Really recommend it.

Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill. It really opened my mind to so many fascinating mental constructs. I’ve probably read a half a dozen times and take something new from it each time I re-read it.
My five year old is a voracious reader. I feel like this is one of the most important educational tools you can give anyone. We stress to her that if you can read, and comprehend, there's nothing you cannot learn. That's why I included the first two on this list. How to Read a Book - Mortimer Adler How to Read Slowly - James Sire The Personal MBA - Josh Kaufman The Intelligent Investor - Benjamin Graham Think and Grow Rich - Napoleon Hill How to Win Friends and Influence People - Dale Carnegie

1. Think and grow rich: Thought me about goal setting, opened my eyes to the fact that a man can rise from his humble beginnings to any height he want's to attain if he is willing to work for it. 2. PHP for dummies: My first exposure to the world of programming, since then I've never looked back. 3. Rich Dad, Poor Dad: Changed my thinking about finance, I don't know how I would have handled my finances if I hadn't come across this book as a teenager, I feel so lucky to have read this book. I would have been stuck in society's harmful way of handling finance.

The Inner Game of Tennis Think And Grow Rich - I based my cover letter off of some of the concepts in this book and it has worked remarkably well.

Some books that stood out this year (many not for their intended reasons) The 4 Hour Work Week (Tim Ferriss) - In parts entertaining, interesting, self-promoting, educational, inspirational, attractive and undesirable. Definitely worth the read and a great call to action. Will make you consider what you want and how you can achieve it. The Game (Neil Strauss) - Truly interesting story and an interesting view on human dynamics and hacking one of the more important systems (dating). A great view on what is most important - ends or means. Will make you consider how people work, what motivates them and whether success cures emptiness. Losing my Virginity (Richard Branson) - The awesome and entertaining story of Virgin with lots of great advice and startup David vs Goliath inspiration. Will make you consider what determination and the little guy can achieve. Business Stripped Bare (Richard Branson) - Branson's more focused take on business advice and patches on bits of the Virgin story since the first book. Will make you consider the power of being genuine and growing a company with people treated as smart humans. On Writing (Stephen King)…

Think and Grow Rich, old as it is, is still the best book on getting rich I've ever read.

The above. Also Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill
Agree with The Richest Man in Babylon and Think and Grow Rich. I recommend: 4 Hour Work Week, Mommy Millionaire, and The Millionaire Next Door, Gorilla Marketing, and Execution. LOL, if I had to choose two, they would be Think and Grow Rich and 4 Hour Work Week.
