A long time ago I read secrets of the JavaScript ninja. I feel like perhaps that is outdated though. I would probably recommend eloquent JavaScript at this point or googling for online materials

I highly recommend Secrets of the JavaScript Ninja by John Resig. It boosted my career significantly by giving me enough low-level practical understanding to become much more productive writing JS. Highly recommended.
These: - Secrets of the JavaScript Ninja by John Resig (my favorite) - Eloquent JavaScript by Marijn Haverbeke

Secrets of the Javascript Ninja (by John Resig, creator of jQuery) is amazing for Advanced level Javascript explanations and tips.
Secrets of the JavaScript Ninja http://www.manning.com/resig/ has helped me understand some of the more interesting parts of the language (such as functions being first class objects) better.
Ah crap, I accidentally downvoted you instead of upvoting. This is a good book, and you can read a lot of it even before it's released via MEAP.
John Resig has a book in the works - "Secrets of the Javascript Ninja" - http://www.manning.com/resig/ (From what I have seen of the alpha release, it's nice).
